I attended one of your book signings in North Port, FL and thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and your sister and hearing passages from your 1st book and little snippets of your childhood with your sisters. Your writing is both funny and profound. Thanks for sharing your slant on everyday life events.

Sharie was my guest at two recent book-signing events in North Port, FL. She appeared at the North Port Writers Group and at Harbor Cove, where I live seasonally. She and her sister Lynn were a great hit, and everyone was thrilled to meet Sharie and hear a few selections from her first book. Sharie was gracious, funny (as you might expect) and very tan - she fit right in with us Floridians! She was also very generous, donating books to those who attended and personalizing them as well. I get the TI Sun delivered to Florida because that's where we live when we're not snowbirds, and the first thing I devour is her column, "North Country Quirk." It makes my day!

Read about you in the in the North Port Sun article about your appearing at the Writers' Club. I will be unable to attend because of a prior committment, but nice to know someone else from Northern New York is a bit kooky. Don't know your age, but since Hallmark's Maxine is my heroine and your comments remind me of her, I might want to be like you when (and if) I decide to grow up! Thanks for the humor.

I had the good fortune of being assigned to write an article about Sharie for her alma mater, Ottawa University. Getting to meet (and read) people like Sharie is one of the perks of my job. Loved the book; have told loads of people about the column and the book. Hope there's much more to come!

Sharie, I found your site via the Erma Bombeck Workshop newsletter. I am also a humor writer, and have to tell you that just reading your hilarious bio is enough to get me on your book buyer list! I also think what you are doing for soldiers is an awesome idea. I would love to do something like that. www.dcstanfa.com
